What would be your dream pinball game? If it's a handful of generic tables with poor ball and flipper physics, SouthPeak games just made your dream come true. Dream Pinball 3D gets the tables right but completely misses the boat in how it controls. The result is a poor approximation of how pinball is supposed to feel.
With the heyday of pinball simulations on the PC ping, ping, pinging in my noggin like it was the mid-90s all over again, I really wanted to love Dream Pinball 3D. Forget that its title still hypes the fact that it's "3D" well over a decade after 3D cards became standard operating equipment. Forget that Future Pinball, a beautiful, well-made pinball sim and table designer, can be downloaded for free. If Southpeak is charging for this collection of six all-new tables, then it must be pretty special, right?
To anyone who has used the Windows operating system ever since its early days will take a trip down memory lane with 3D Pinball - Space Cadet. This nostalgic pinball game will look and play as it did all those years ago. The gameplay experience that you know and love is kept intact in this version. It's highly recommended for fans of the game.
We may have multiple downloads for few games when different versions are available. Also, we try to upload manuals and extra documentation when possible. If you have additional files to contribute or have the game in another language, please contact us!
Sierra and Dynamix pins some more balls in their second 3D Ultra Pinball outing - Creep Night from 1996. The theme here is a fun one, being a gothic fantasy of castles, crypts and creeps - a far better one than the generic sci-fi of the first. The three tables take full advantage of the setting. You'll be flipping flippers in the grounds of a Castle, the top of a Tower and the depths of a Dungeon, each with their own set of objectives. You may be able to chase the high score on each table individually, but the Play All option is the one to play. There are 5 tasks to complete on each as well as a mini-game which will lead to a bonus fourth table (which is just a re-jigged super difficult variant of the first). This mission-based concept for a pinball game is a fun one, but even getting close to completing them is a pipe dream for casual players. Despite the blurb's boasting the game's "realistic pinball physics", the truth is somewhat the opposite. It's not exactly broken - hitting the ball at certain points on the flipper will give commendably predictable results - but all too often will the ball gravitate towards the points of no return. I lost many to the outlane or untouchable space between the two flippers. 2b1af7f3a8
